How do I transfer and existing QB online account to a new owner?

Let me guide you on how you can transfer the existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to the new owner, cindibbookkeepin.

 

We can ask the previous owner to transfer his/her master admin role to the new owner. A Master Administrator is a person who created the company file in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, the new admin will have full access to QBO and they can delete the previous owner in the account.

After accepting the master admin role, let the new master admin delete or remove the previous one in QBO.

 

Here’s how.

 

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Highlight the name of the user you wish to delete.
  4. On the bottom right of that field, click Delete.
  5. You will now get this message: Are you sure you want to delete?
  6. Click Yes to confirm.
