How do i turn an estimate into an invoice with the new update?

Converting an estimate to an invoice in the new layout is easy, Eric. I'd be happy to walk you through the process.

In the new experience in QuickBooks Online, you can convert the estimates by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and then select All sales.
  2. Under Type, choose Estimates.
  3. Find the transaction you want to convert.
  4. In the Action column, click Convert to invoice.

  5. Make any updates to the invoice, if necessary.
  6. Once done, hit Save.

If the Status column shows Rejected, I suggest updating the status before converting the estimate. I'll show you how:

  1. From the All Sales page, under the Action column, choose the drop-down menu.
  2. Select Update status.
  3. In the Status field, select the drop-down arrow and choose Pending or Accepted
  4. Hit OK. Then, find the correct estimate to convert it to an invoice.

For QuickBooks Payments users who have requested a deposit on your estimate, the entry will automatically convert to an invoice when your customer pays the deposit.
