How do I turn of W-2 from automatically processing and sending at the end of the year?

I'd be happy to assist you in turning off the automatic processing of W-2 forms in QuickBooks Online, kittykat2boys.

We can go to your Payroll Settings and turn off the feature to prevent QuickBooks from processing and sending W-2 forms at the end of the year.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon icon at the upper right corner and select Payroll Settings.
  2. In the Taxes and forms section, select Edit ✎.
  3. Clear the Automate taxes and forms checkbox.
  4. Hit Save.

More information can be found in this article: Manage automatic tax payments and form filings.

Check out the resources listed below for paying and filing references. These will show us how to manually file the forms as well as how to resolve filing issues:

File your W-2 forms.

If you have any additional questions or concerns about automated payroll tax, please include them in your response. I'll be available at any time. Have a good one, kittykat2boys.

If I do that, it won't send my other tax forms, though, correct?  What about the ones that are in process of paying, etc.,?  I just don't want it to send my W-2s automatically as my accountant does those, due to other things that need to be accounted for.

Good day, @kittykat2boys.

Yes, you're right. Once you turn off the automated tax payment and form filing feature, this won't send your other tax forms too. Moreover, you'll have to pay your taxes manually outside QuickBooks.
