How do I void a 401k deduction after direct deposit?

One of my employees decided not to participate in our 401k program the day after I submitted payroll with her first 401k deduction.  Her check was direct deposited, but I haven't paid taxes yet.

How do I void a 401k deduction after direct deposit?

Once the direct deposit is processed, you can no longer void it. In this case, you can either set an internal agreement with your employee and issuing a paper check for the deduction amount. Or, you can reach out to our Support Team for additional options.

 

Moreover, you can also process a direct deposit reversal that returns the funds to your account. There will be a $75 charge with a reversal request, even if you don't get the money back. Open this article for more information: Reverse a direct deposit.
