How do you add shipping charges to an invoice? I'm determining the actual charges on another app and want to add them to the invoice.

Let me share some steps on how to add shipping charges in the line item, Zeitel

Before adding the shipping charges to your invoices, you'll need to create a service item and name it as a Shipping charges or you can also name it according to your preferences. Right after, you can now add it to your invoice transaction.

Here's how:

Step 1: Create a Service item for the Shipping Charges.

  1. Go to the Gear icon located at the top right corner.
  2. Under the Lists column, click Product and Services.
  3. Press the New dropdown and choose the Service option.
  4. Fill out the necessary field. You can name it as Shipping Charges.
  5. Once done, press Create new

Step 2: Add the created Service item to your invoice.

  1. Go to the +New located at the top left corner.
  2. Under the Customers column, choose Invoice.
  3. Fill out the field provided.
  4. When selecting a product item, ensure that the item comes first before the created service item. Doing this will allow you to easily identify the shipping charges.
  5. Once done, click Save or Save and send

After a customer pays an invoice, you can record this as Receive payments in QuickBooks
