How do you setup recurring bills to automatically pay without having to click "schedule payment" each time because I just tried Melio and I'm not seeing how?

Hi there, don.

It seems like you've posted the same concerns. My colleague already shared their response about creating a recurring bill.

You can review their answer through this link: How do you set up recurring bills that are the same amount each month to pay the vendor?

Don't hesitate to get back to the thread if you have other concerns.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. It appears the only replies I got were for setting up recurring bills but not how to have them automatically pay the vendor without having to click "schedule payment." With little research since then, it doesn't appear QBO or Melio even has this feature. I'm just wanting to automate as much as possible, unless there's something in Intuit's Bill Pay I don't know about. -db

Thanks for getting back, don. Allow me to elaborate or clarify things so you can get back to working order.

In QuickBooks Online, you can create templates for recurring transactions, like recurring expenses. You can do this for any transaction except bill payments, customer payments, and time entries. That said, you can't create recurring transactions to automate bill payments.

Fo future reference, I'm adding this article to learn how to get a list of all your recurring transactions and the accounts they're linked to in QuickBooks Online: Review your recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online
