How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?

How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?
Also, how do you remove the "Sales Tax %" on the printed/PDF new Modern design invoice?  This is confusing for clients.  The sales tax calculated is correct, however, on the printed/Pdf it shows a sales tax % that is the % of the subtotal on the invoice and not the  actual sales tax % that is being collected from the client.

How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?

I wanted to let you know that we appreciate your question and feedback about the modern invoice template in QuickBooks Online, northernlightsve.

For now, there's no option to add a column to indicate if an item is taxable or not in the modern invoice template. Similarly, we're unable to remove the Sales Tax % information in the printed version of the invoice.

I'd also like to share that we have an open investigation (INV-107587) about incorrect tax rates on the PDF versions of invoices. Our engineering team is already working diligently to identify the root cause of this issue and expedite a resolution.

In the meantime, please reach out to our phone support team so they can add you to the list of affected users. We will be sending email notifications to all impacted customers as soon as the problem is resolved.

Here's how to reach out to them inside QBO:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.

While this is being worked on, you'll want to consider using other invoice designs or templates within QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate tax information for your customers.

How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?

Tried to reach out to the online customer support chat like you advised and wasted 3 hours of my life and got no where.  How do I get on the list of affected users and get emailed and informed if this gets resolved?

Thanks for getting back to us, @northernlightsve. It can be discouraging to feel like you've wasted your time and not received the answers you're looking for. Let me make it up to you by addressing your concern.

To get on the list of affected users, you can follow my colleague's advice and contact our support team. Ensure to provide them with the investigation number (INV-107587). This way, you'll be able to receive an email once the issue is resolved.

The thread is always open, and you're welcome to come back here if you have any other QuickBooks-related questions. I'd be more than willing to assist you. Take care.
