How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?

How do you show taxable items or "T" on the printed/PDF invoice in the new "Modern" design invoice?
Also, how do you remove the "Sales Tax %" on the printed/PDF new Modern design invoice?  This is confusing for clients.  The sales tax calculated is correct, however, on the printed/Pdf it shows a sales tax % that is the % of the subtotal on the invoice and not the  actual sales tax % that is being collected from the client.

Thanks for bringing your questions and feedback about the modern invoice template, northernlightsve.

For now, there's no option to add a column to indicate if an item is taxable or not in the Modern invoice template. Similarly, we're unable to remove the Sales Tax % information in the printed version of the invoice.

I also wanted to let you know that we have an open investigation (INV-107587) regarding an incorrect tax rate displayed on the PDF version of your invoice. Our engineering team is already working diligently to identify the root cause of this issue and expedite a resolution.

In the meantime, please reach out to our phone support team so they can add you to the list of affected users. We will be sending email notifications to all impacted customers as soon as the problem is resolved.

Here's how to reach out to them inside QBO:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.

While this is being worked on, you'll want to consider using other invoice designs or templates within QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate tax information for your customers.
