How do you text an estimate to a customer?

Currently, there isn't an option to text an estimate to a customer in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, you can find and integrate a third-party application that can directly send the form to your customers using text messages or SMS as an alternative. To do this, I'd recommend visiting the QuickBooks App Center and search for the one that suits your business needs.

We don't recommend what specific third-party application you'll need to use. However, QuickBooks displays the list of applications available that matches the description you entered. Once you find the right app, click to open it. Please visit our Apps page through your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Here's how:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. From the left pane, click on Apps.
3. Search for apps in the search box.

What kind of business do you run? A field service one or else?

• Download the QuickBooks app on your phone.
• Click on the estimate you want to send
• Click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and select preview.
• Screenshot the estimate to save it to your phone.
• Send the screenshot to the potential client.

Thanks for the workaround but this is total BS on behalf of QBO.  No professional texting option in 2023?  I have to pay $360/year for this and do not get 20yo technology along with it?  I am being forced into using Square which offers either text or email so I'll let them collect the credit card revenue and not QBO - who does not deserve it.
