Thanks for visiting us today, @acdamerica. I appreciate your interest in this matter. I can certainly provide the steps to utilize the QuickBooks software for students and educators.
To start, you'll want to read through the FAQs from this resource to get detailed information about being an educator: Intuit for Education help and support.
If your school is an accredited US educational institution, your students can register for a QuickBooks Online Plus student trial. Here's how:
- Go to the Intuit Education website and tap Register.
- Under QuickBooks Online, choose Students.
- Fill out the registration form and click Verify and Continue.
If they see the Welcome to Intuit Education page, they've already verified your eligibility. You can skip to step 3 below and activate your student trial. Otherwise, continue to verify your eligibility by providing official documents from your school with the following info:
- Your full and legal name that matches the one you entered in the registration form
- Your school name
- A date within the last three months
To proceed, get an electronic copy of the official document, click Choose File to find and select the document (acceptable formats are .jpg, .pdf, .png, .bmp, or .gif), and tap Submit for review.
They'll see a confirmation message when the upload finishes. If you don't see the message, try scrolling up or down the page. Afterward, you can follow Step 3 of this article to activate your student trial: Register and activate a QuickBooks Online student trial.
On the other hand, you can contact the Education Support Team in the Need help? section if you require further assistance setting up your class.
