Adding invoice numbers automatically is quick and easy, userbluvalueconsulti. Let's get started.
We can simply enter the invoice number on the invoice screen when creating the transaction and before sending it via email. See the sample screenshot below.
Unless you change it, QuickBooks will continue to follow that sequence.
We can refer to this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed for more information on customizing QuickBooks Self-Employed invoices. In the same link, we can find instructions for customizing the template on Android or iOS, as well as instructions for dealing with progress invoicing.
Additionally, if you need help categorizing your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed, see this article: Updates to QuickBooks Self-Employed expense categories. This will assist us in determining how to report self-employed income and expenses.
If you have any further questions, please come back and see us, userbluvalueconsulti. I'd be delighted to assist. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks but in the header of the invoice it reads for me "Invoice [Invoice No.] ...."
it used to auto-fill the invoice number on the email title but not anymore...
Thanks for sharing those details and the screenshot, @userbluvalueconsulti.
There haven't been any new updates that removed this feature. I tested this out in my account, and the invoice number is included in the header of the email.
With that said, I recommend contacting our Technical Support Team for this one. That way, one of our agents can review your account in a secure environment and investigate this matter further. You can use the link below to connect with our team directly.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Take care!
