I'm here to help you correct a Project for a Customer in QuickBooks Online, @rhudson.
Once a Project is assigned to a Customer, you can no longer change it.
As a workaround, you'll need to delete the Project and assign it to the right Customer. Here's how to delete a project in QuickBooks:
- Go to the Projects menu.
- Look for the project and click the ACTIONS drop-down list.
- Select Delete, then click Yes to confirm.
Before deleting the project, you can import your project reports to Excel or print them. This way, you can use its data when recreating the project.
Once done, you can now create another project and make sure to select the right customer. To record your payroll time activity, check out this article: Track hourly labor costs and profitability by project in QuickBooks Online.
