How to change logo of currency

Working in UAE and have AED Dirhams as local currency. But in reports it's not showing in AED, but in arabic letters, which I don't want. How can I change it, that the currency is written in AED and not in arabic letters?

How to change logo of currency

Hi Pooldeife,

Let's work together to make sure the currency is being displayed properly.

In QuickBooks Online, the amount of a transaction or balance is shown by the symbol of that currency. In AED, it should be showing the sign which is د.إ. In the same way, USD are shown by the $ sign, instead of the actual USD code letters. If the amounts are being shown by the Arabic letters درهم, please send me a screenshot so I can take a closer look.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

How to change logo of currency

I have exactly the same question. The currency symbol for the UAE version seems to be a fixed "د.إ." that also shows up on the right hand side of the figure, instead of the left hand side. It looks terrible, honestly. It looks as if there's something wrong with the invoice, and I would like to change that. Why can't we change that? The current setting just throws you off when looking at any invoice, dashboard, and you can't focus on the content. Is there a way to change that at all?

Hi Alicia,

Thanks for your feedback. There is no way to change it, so it shows AED ? Looks like I'm not the only one who has this problem.

Thanks

Here's a screenshot. Please note that the symbol is placed at the right hand side of the figure, instead of the LHS, and that it is in Arabic regular font, and, quite honestly looks awful.
Why not allow people to choose their own symbols. For instance, we have been using Ð (Alt-0208) to symbolize the AED on the left hand side of the figure, when we were using Excel.

Is there any way to change the current way this is displayed?

Thank you

Here's another shot, where you can see that wherever the currency symbol shows up, both the symbol AND the negative sign switch from showing up on the left hand side, to showing up on right hand side. Look how aweful that looks:

Also see below in the Balance Sheet report.  Please tell us that there's a way around this.

Thank you both for providing these details.

At this time, QuickBooks Online displays the symbol assigned to each currency. In this case, the symbol assigned to AED is د.إ, just as $ is to USD, € is to EUR, and ¥ is to JPY.

I recommend sending a feature request to the QuickBooks engineers to let them know you'd like to edit those symbols. By submitting your feedback on that site, you can have other users vote on the request which will increase the likelihood of it being added in an update.

If you have any further questions, I'm here to help.
