I have a solution to get control of this, ofern.
QuickBooks auto-populates a Journal entry number every time you create an entry. Clearing the auto-numbering isn't possible. You can manually assign a number to make sure that there aren't any duplicates and be able to track the entries correctly.
To make sure that you've entered the correct information in QuickBooks Online, you'll want to run a report so you can easily determine an incorrect data: Run Reports In QuickBooks Online.
