Buy nowI enter in my budget by Customer:Job and am looking for a report that prints it out by month. When I select by month it only shows net income not the entire budget for the month for that Job. I am able to run a Budget for the entire company by month but not one for the Job by month.
The data's there, how do I get it out? Any suggestions?
I’m excited to collaborate with you, @flowerlover. Let's explore the reporting option available in creating a monthly job budgeting report for your business.
In QuickBooks Desktop, you can create a Budget Overview report that allows you to customize and view your budget by job every month. This feature is essential for tracking financial performance and ensuring each job stays within budget.
Here’s how to create the report step-by-step:
I've included a screenshot below for your reference:
You could also consider exporting this report from QuickBooks Desktop to Excel. This feature allows you to manipulate the data further, create additional charts, or conduct deeper financial analyses, which can be invaluable for sharing insights with your team.
Additionally, I’d like to share these valuable resources that can help streamline your reporting process and save you time:

The Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) will not display actual numbers if no transactions have been entered for a specific year, Flowerlover. Let's work together to ensure that all the necessary details are included and displayed accurately.
The Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual report compares your budgeted figures to your actual financial performance. If no transactions are recorded, the Actual columns will show zeros or remain blank, based on the report's formatting, indicating that no financial activities were logged for the relevant accounts during that period.

However, if there's a transaction entered for that specific month, you can review your bank register to verify if the dates and transactions are correct.
Here's how:
If the problem continues after completing the above steps, you can run the verify and rebuild data utility to ensure there are no data integrity issues with your company file.
Additionally, I'll provide you with this material to assist you when reconciling your QBDT accounts. This process helps you maintain accuracy between your books and bank/credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.

I appreciate the responses received but none are addressing my original post, I am an advanced QBD user of over 19 years so I'm not looking for elementary resolutions - it's more than that.
I'll re-state my request -
My 2025 budget is entered by Customer:Job but when I pull a B v A report for a specific
Customer:Job and then select the Name of the Customer:Job no values appear despite having
entered the budget numbers by month for each Customer:Job
Blue ribbon and accolades to the solver!
I appreciate you attaching a screenshot, @flowerlover. Since you already followed the steps provided by my colleagues, you can Verify and Rebuild your data to identify and repair any data integrity with your company file. Let me show you how this works.
To start with, Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) find the most common issues in a company file, and fix them. Verify Data identifies data problems such as corrupt transactions, invalid entries, and data integrity issues. Rebuild Data repairs these issues to ensure the accuracy and integrity of your financial records.
Here's how:
Verify your company data
To Rebuild your company file data, follow these steps:

These pat answers are exhausting.... Verifying data and rebuilding doesn't work - unless you have real-world experience in getting B v A's to print for Customer:Job, please do not respond, no sense in wasting time.
