I am trying to enter customer invoices going down the customer list. How do I keep the list from going back to the top every time?

Before today the list stayed at the same place but today it jumps back to the top after each transaction.

Hello @JudyBee,

We want to help you with your concern about customer list. However, we need more information about it to provide the correct resolution and to get this sorted out promptly.

Are you referring to the customer list from the Sales section or within the Create invoice screen? I recommend adding a screenshot to ensure we can provide you with an accurate solution.

In the meantime, you can check this article for more information about managing customers in QuickBooks: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that you're always welcome to post any questions you may have in this space. Have a great day ahead.

It is the create invoice screen I am using with a customer list down the left side of the screen.

Thank you for getting back to us and providing us with more details about your concern, @JudyBee.

The option to keep the list from going back to the top after you create and save an invoice is currently unavailable. That would be a great addition to our current features, so I'll keep that on a note.

Feel free to provide comments from within the account. These are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion.
  3. Click on Next to submit feedback.

For additional details on how to provide feedback to enhance the program, see this article: How do I submit feedback?

When you receive payments from the invoices, here's how to record them in QBO: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further information about the customer list. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a great rest of the day!
