I cannot figure out how to change my billing method

Thanks for reaching us. I know how important it is to change your billing method in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me share some insights on how to update or change your billing method.

 

Updating your billing information is an essential matter in QuickBooks Online because it's a key tool to help prevent fraud which is very rampant nowadays and you can update your card also and other stuff. So if you are referring your subscription directly from the QuickBooks browser you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and click on Subscriptions and Billing.
  3. Select the Billing details tab.
  4. Hit on Edit billing information and update your payment info.
  5. If you are done, click on Save.

 

After saving the changes, the payment method is displayed on the Billing details tab moving forward.

 

However, if your subscription to QuickBooks is through Google Play you can follow these steps also:

 

  1. Sign in to your Google Play using your Android phone or tablet. 
  2. Go to payment methods.
  3. Click on more payment settings.
  4. Below the payment method select edit and update your billing info.
  5. If done tap on update.

 

Lastly, if your subscription to QuickBooks is through the Apple store.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your Apple store.
  2. Go to Settings, and select your name.
  3. Choose Payment & Shipping.
  4. Click on Add Payment Information.
  5. Update your new payment info.
  6. Then tap Done.
