Hi there, @bh1!

You have the option to set up a vendor with foreign currency and create a purchase order for your client. This way, you can record the opportunity sales invoice received by your client. I'm here to help you accomplish this.

First off, you'll have to turn on the Multicurrency feature before you can use it. But know that you cannot turn it off once you started using it. Thus, I've added this helpful article that you can read to learn more about multi-currency: Turn On and Use Multicurrency.

Nevertheless, here's how you can create vendor with a foreign currency:

  1. Go to Expenses.
  2. Select Vendors.
  3. Click New.
  4. Enter your vendor's information.
  5. Under I pay this vendor with, select the foreign currency of your vendor.
  6. Click Save.

Once completed, let me show you how you can create a purchase order:

  1. Go to the Plus icon.
  2. Under Vendor, select Purchase order.
  3. On the Vendor menu, select the vendor you recently created.
  4. Enter the details of the opportunity sales invoice received by your client.
  5. Click Save and close.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can create a purchase order: How to Use Purchase Order?

Lastly, I've also included this article that'll help you copy a purchase order to vendor transaction once your client confirmed the opportunity invoice: Apply a Purchase Order to a Vendor Transaction.

I'f there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below. I'll be always around ready to help.

If you are reluctant to activate the multi-currency feature, explore a 3rd party payment service for multi-currency transaction.
