I have entered a customer as a vendor by mistake How can I change their profile from vendor to customer?

I’m here to help make sure you can change the vendor profile to a customer. We’ll have to inactivate the supplier’s information and set up a new customer name. Let me guide you through the step-by-step process.


To delete the vendor:

 

  1. In your company, tap the Expenses menu on the left panel and choose Vendors.
  2. This action will take you to the Vendors Center.
  3. From there, tick the box of the vendor's name and click the Batch actions to select Make inactive.vendor inactive.png
  4. Press Yes to confirm.

 

To add a customer:

 

  1. Tap the Sales menu on the left panel to choose Customers.new customer.png
  2. Then press the New customer button in the upper right to open the Customer information window.
  3. In the Last Name field, choose a name one keystroke different from the vendor name (such as John Doe, if the Vendor name was John J Doe, for example).vendor new.pngnew customer.1.png
  4. Enter the rest of your client’s data in the field boxes.
  5. Click Save.
