Allow me to impart some insights about receiving invoice payments in QBO. If you've signed up for your QuickBooks Payments, yes, you'll be charged each time you process a transaction. QuickBooks handles the payment for you and categorizes it into the correct account.

On the other hand, if you haven't signed up for QuickBooks Payment, you'll need to record your invoice payment manually. I'd be glad to walk you through the steps.
- Go to the + New menu.
- Select Receive Payment.
- From the Customer drop-down, select the name of the customer.
- In the Payment method drop-down, select the payment method.
- Select the checkbox for the invoice your recording payment for in the Outstanding Transactions section.
- Enter the needed details and click Save and close once done.
