I keep creating an invoice and I save it. As soon as I save it then it disappears and I can't find it. This has happened twice now. Any idea why & how to I find them?

I have used QuickBooks for billing for years and every once in a while this happens.  I have logged out and back in a couple of times and the invoices are still not there.

Experiencing difficulties while carrying out tasks in QuickBooks Online (QBO) can hinder your workflow and productivity, @raokindness.

Firstly, could you please let me know where you created the invoice? Did you use the QBO app on your phone or did you access it through a web browser? If you have any other details to share, it would be really helpful for me to assist you promptly.

In the meantime, you can perform troubleshooting steps related to how you generated the invoice. Follow along below to get started.

If you experience it in the web browser, let's isolate the issue by logging into your QBO account using an incognito mode. This way, no cache is stored, which could potentially get corrupted and lead to unexpected issues. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once signed in, try to create an invoice and save it. If this works, I recommend going back to your regular browser and clearing the cache to eliminate piled-up data that might cause the issue. If not, you can use another supported browser or device.

If this happens on your QBO mobile app, it's a good idea to remove its cache files. Here's how:

For iOS devices:

  1. Select the menu at the top right.
  2. Then, choose Help & Feedback
  3. Next, click Refresh Data and select Refresh

For Android devices:

  1. Select the menu at the top right.
  2. Next, choose Settings
  3. Then, select Refresh Data and click Yes.

When finished, create an invoice again and check if it will be saved successfully. If not, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to refresh the background processes.

I'm just around in the Community if you have other issues managing your invoices. Feel free to post again here. Have a good one.
