I am having the same problem , tried to order checks through intuit/QuickBooks and was told that my QuickBooks checking account doesn’t have check writing abilities.

QuickBooks Checking is a monthly fee-free checking account where all of your customer payments get deposited. This account is only intended to receive funds from your customers and not for sending checks. This is why the system prompts you that it doesn't have check writing abilities.

If you don't allow QuickBooks Checking customers to print or hand write checks, I'm going to have to migrate my account back to Bank of America.
