I need to change the name of my company in the Bill.com Bill Pay. I've changed it in QBO. But my payments arrive at my vendor's bank with our old name. Thanks Ken

Hi there, @ken63.

 

I'm happy to help you in changing your company name in Bill.com.

 

Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Choose Profile under Your Company section. 
  3. Hit the edit icon. 
  4. Update the company name. 
  5. Click Save

I'm sorry but I don't see that menu option.

From the Settings menu in QBO I can change the company name and that works within QBO.

I go to the Bill Pay menu and I get this:

Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online

 

Subscription status Your trial has expired

 

 

I've looked around in these options but nothing for the company name. I did notice that it says my subscription is expired. Bill Pay works and I've been billed for the subscription. Maybe there's a problem with my account?

I'd be glad to show you the way on how to update the company name in Bill.com so that it will be the same as the QuickBooks details. Since the subscription has been expired, there will no funds that will be taken out from your card.

 

Looking at your post about the Bill.com subscription, you might need to resubscribe. This is done so that you can change any Company information on Bill.com. Here's how to do that:

 

  1. Log in to your Bill.com account through Intuit.
  2. Click on the ENTER CARD AND PAY button.
  3. Follow the on-screen details to successfully resubscribe. This is how it looks like:

 

Then, you can refer to their article to update your company information: Update your company profile.

I still don't see what you see.

I click on the settings icon, which pulls up this:

With the OLD company name. 

 

So I continued to try things. I changed my payment option from my checking account to a credit card and now it says my account is active!

BUT, when I try to log in to Bill.com to update, or check, account settings it still brings me to the Unpaid Bills page in QBO.

 

Oh well, it's been this way with the Bill.com "integration" I'm pretty tired of the interaction between QBO and Bill.com. It's slow, clunky and obviously from two different sources. 

Lesson learned on my part.....

It seems that you're setting is different. In this case, I recommend contacting our Bill.com Support. They'd be able to help you with the settings and update your company name.
