Buy nowI have an accountant's subscription(?) to QBO. I use it to create demo videos. There is a standard report "Project Profitability Summary" that exists in every one of my clients' report libraries but is not in mine. I have activated Projects in the Account Settings so that is not it. I don't think it is possible to delete a report out of the Standard Reports libray. Any thoughts?

Thank you for sharing the details of your concern, Jan. I appreciate the time you took to explain your observations.
You are correct that it's not possible to delete a standard report from the main library in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This is a system design limitation to ensure standard reports remain available for users.
In QuickBooks Online Accountant, not all standard reports available in regular QBO subscriptions, such as the "Project Profitability Summary", are included due to structural differences. Unlike regular QBO subscriptions, it prioritizes tools for managing client files over providing access to all standard reports found in your clients' accounts.
Although the Project Profitability Summary report isn't directly available in your accountant subscription, you can create a custom report to analyze project profitability. By filtering for specific project-related data, such as revenues and expenses, you can generate a report tailored to your needs. Once saved, it can serve as both a reusable template for future use and a reliable tool for demo videos, ensuring you can still achieve similar results effectively.

Greetings Jan!
You’re right that the “Project Profitability Summary” report is part of the standard report library in QuickBooks Online, but it only appears in company files that actually have at least one active project with transactions linked to it.
Even though you’ve turned on Projects in Account and Settings, your accountant (demo) company may not have any real project data yet. Until you create a project and tag at least one income and one expense transaction to it, the report won’t show up in your list.
Try this quick test:
You’re also correct that you can’t delete standard reports from QuickBooks, so nothing’s missing permanently — it just becomes visible once project data exists in that company file.

Perfect answer and it resolves my dilemma. I can get the information but I wanted that particular report to generate a video on grants (projects). I can get the answers other ways but, since all my clients have the report, that is the easiest. Not the first time I have had to create a work around for this. Thanks again.
You're very welcome, Jan!
