I've updated my business email in QuickBooks Self-Employed, however, when I create a new invoice, the email reflected is still my old business email address.

Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Hello, jdshyman.

I appreciate for following the steps provided by my colleague. I have another steps to help you reflect the new email address when creating the invoice. The new email address has to be added on the Your Work Info page. The information in this section will be the basis for the outgoing messages.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Invoices from the left menu.
  2. Tap Create invoice.
  3. At the bottom of the New Invoice page, click Edit work info
  4. In the Email field, enter the correct email address.
  5. Click Save

Moving forward, the system will deliver your invoices on your new email address.

I'm adding this article for more information about sending invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can also find other help articles here for guides and tutorials.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps. We're right here if you need another help. Feel free to reach out to us again. Have a great day!

Good day, @jdshyman-gmail-c.

Sometimes too much cache accumulated in a browser can cause unexpected behavior with the product. This might be the reason why you're old email address is still reflected when sending an invoice.

Let's run some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate and fix the issue. To start, open your account using a private browser. This doesn't save your search histories and will help us check if the issue is cache-related.

Simply press the following shortcut keys to access this mode:

  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)

Once done, try updating your email address again and sending your invoice. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.

If you're still getting the same results, let's another supported browser. This might be a temporary issue with your current browser and QuickBooks.

In case your customer wants to make a payment right now or already paid you, enter the transaction manually using a receipt image.

You can always count on me whenever you need help when sending invoices. Simply tag me in your reply, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a good one and best wishes for continued success!

I've updated my business email in QuickBooks Self-Employed, however, when I create a new invoice, the email reflected is still my old business email address.

Hi @ReymondO  I appreciate your help, however, I have tried what you suggested where I go into incognito mode to update my email and I have also tried Microsoft Edge browser instead of my usual Google Chrome and I've even attempted to create an invoice on my app on my Iphone 13Max, and nothing I seem to try is updating my invoices to reflect my current email address of [email address removed]. Every invoice I've tried creating still shows my last email of [email address removed]. I don't know what else to try and I don't understand why the program doesn't allow me to manually update my email address on the invoice?

I'm hoping you can help as being able to create invoices is the primary reason for having Quickbooks.

Thanks much,

Josh

Wow this was great information! And I can't believe I didn't see the small text on the bottom where it says to edit my work info!

Thank you for your help!!
