Currently, you can only track miles for one vehicle in QuickBooks Self-Employed. QuickBooks is still working with TurboTax to update this feature so you can track multiple vehicles in the future. There are two categories for tracking a mileage deduction. You can track it as a business or personal expense.

To answer your question, yes, use the mileage allowance for your personal vehicle, and use actual rental expenses as the expense for the rental. in QBSE since it is so limited, use office expense when you pay the rental
