I want to edit a contractors address, but when I do it states the EIN number is invalid. Any suggestions on how to get this edited?

This could be a browser related issue. Stored cache can cause unexpected behavior in your browsers. To isolate this, you can open your browser's private window.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift +N

If it works, you can proceed with clearing the cache. Otherwise, open a different browser that’s available. 

If the issue persists, you can check this article for a list of compatible browsers while using QuickBooks Online.

I can also offer a workaround for this situation:

1. Click the Pencil icon to edit the information, and enter the information you want to change.
2. Under EIN info. Input a random numbers with the same EIN format. Then, click Save.

Kindly perform the same steps to edit and input your correct EIN.

I am also having this issue. I tried the private browser option in FireFox, regular in FireFox and in Edge and I am still getting this error.

1. Go to the Help (Question mark) icon in the top right-hand corner. 
2. Press the Contact Us button. 
3. Give a brief description of the problem and hit Let's talk. 
4. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback.
