I would like to conduct a physical inventory. I see where you can print count books but is there a simple way to enter the count?

Hello there, JBoosalis.

You can pull up the Physical Inventory Worksheet report and then print or export it to Excel to enter the physical count and compare it to the quantity on hand in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Sales and customers section.
  3. Select Physical Inventory Worksheet.
  4. Click on the Print icon or, Export to Excel.

You can check this article for more details: Use reports to see your sales and inventory status

My question was about how you go about entering the physical count once the inventory has been counted using the report . The only way I see is by having to go into each item individually vs a running continuous way. Is there another way to enter counts into QB online?

I can see the importance of having another way to enter counts into QuickBooks Online, @JBoosalis.

Currently, you can only open an item at a time to enter the quantity. I've got other another option you might want to consider.

You can use a third-party app if you wish to enter or edit physical inventory by bulk. To proceed, you can visit the QuickBooks Apps site and look for an app that meets your business needs.

Another way to perform this task is by going to the Apps menu on the left panel within your company file. From there, enter a keyword in the search field to narrow down the results.
