Hi there, @boresmith.
When you subscribe to QuickBooks Payments, there's a Merchant agreement terms that you'll need to sign up. That said, you acknowledge that in some circumstances an applicable third-party provider may impact the services.
Part of it is that Intuit is not responsible for acts of any third party, including any delays, security breaches, or any failure to settle transactions with you due to reasons, not within our control, such as inaccurate information or fraud.

Feel free to hit the reply button if you additional concerns with your merchants and payments concerns. I'm always happy to help. Take care.
There is no protection from QB...on anything. It would be best to have the customer direct transfer or wire the money.

NO!
There is NO PROTECTION!
They take ZERO responsibility.
They'll gladly charge you the 2.8% or more CC Fee and DO NOTHING for their own customer.
You should not use QB payment processing.
There are much cheaper options out there.
I will update this with exact names and rates.
It sucks bc I love using the link to pay option when I invoice customers.
But if you won't stand by your customer and won't follow any basic security checks like declining cards that do not have matching zip/exp/name/address then how can I process cards?
You will go out of business paying for CC Fees and chargebacks.
What a horrible experience.
When you are 100% more competent and capable then the actual credit card company.
I was able to detect and alert QB of the potential fraud but they said the charge was OK.
Well it wasn't, I knew it and they should have as well.
They should have never let the charge go through!
Now they will not refund the CC Fee which is $378.25. However, they did refund the $25 chargeback fee.
So I guess they admit fault but only for the $25. Not the larger amount :)
haha
