Incorrect billing not resolved by customer service

Last year I signed up for the annual plan ( app)  which provided a 1/2 pricing for the initial 3 months then the regular $24.99 would be billed on a monthly basis thereafter. I have been billed the full $24.99 since the first month and now I have spent over 6 hours trying to correct this via customer service department, to no avail.  I was billed thru Apple for these Quilckbooks charges as I downloaded the app on my phone and app purchases are processed through this due to my phone settings. I’ve spoken to 3 customer service reps and no one can help me correct the overage in charges as they see this as an Apple charge not an a QuickBooks charge.This is very frustrating to say the least. Any suggestions?

I can share some insights about the promotional offer that we have, @Originmexico

 

You can get the discounted price which is good for the first 3 months of your subscription by subscribing right away in the web. See this link for more information: quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/

 

If you've subscribed through the mobile app, then your monthly subscription is billed by Apple and not directly to us. To help you check this charge and verify if you can request a refund, then I suggest reaching out to Apple support.

In appreciate the response however, the discount was being promoted through ads on my phone and the instructions were to download the app to receive a 50% discount for the initial three months.  QuickBooks should honor the discount being advertised and not mislead customers that opt to use the mobile version. There was no initial disclaimer that I would not be eligible for the discounted rate because I was not using the web version. I am still using the QuickBooks products and if billing is passed through Apple then QuickBooks should ensure that billing is consistent among all users, whether it be desktop or mobile.  I have made numerous attempts to resolve this through customer service. The most progress I made was after being on the phone for 1.5 hours and a QuickBooks rep stating a code would me emailed to me so I may receive an account adjustment or refund. I called again last week only to have to re-explain the  situation to another rep who is unable to find any details on my account adjustment. Please resolve this for me, I have already invested 6 hours of my time. Not worth it for the savings but this is more of a transparency and customer service issue now.

 As much as I would love to take care of this, we're unable to pull up your account here in the Community space for the security of your account.

 

That said, I highly recommend contacting our Support team again. I know you already called, but since this is a public forum, they can pull up and check your account in a secure environment. They are also the ones who can process the refund for the excess charges you're getting.

 

  1. In QuickBooks, click the Help (question mark) icon at the top right.
  2. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  3. Tick Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us.
