Inventory Transactions not showing on Job Profitability Detail report

Welcome to the Community space, @LANConstruction,

Allow me to share with you some insights on how to get around this issue.

You’ll want to ensure you’ve set the correct date in running the report. There’s a possibility the date range doesn’t cover the time the job has been entered in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) software. Thus, the value doesn’t show in your report.

However, if the date is correct and the issue persists, I recommend running the Verify Rebuild utility tool. This tool scans your company file for errors and fixes them right away. Let me guide you how.

To Verify:

  1. Go to the Window menu.
  2. Select Close All.
  3. Navigate to the File menu.
  4. Select Utilities
  5. Click Verify Data.

To Rebuild your data:

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities
  3. Then Rebuild Data.

You can also check this article for more detailed information about the process: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

I’m also adding this resource that you can use to learn more on how to personalize your report and focus on the data you need: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know if there’s anything else you need assistance with about running your reports or with your account. I’ll be around ready to assist you. Have a good one and more success in your business!
