Hi,
We have transferred over from using Freshbooks to using Quickbooks Desktop Premier. The guides for transferring invoices and payment data from Freshbooks to Quickbooks are outdated. How do I go about uploading past invoice data in bulk to Quickbooks from Freshbooks with the newer systems?
I'm glad you're choosing QuickBooks, VCOfficeManager! Let's go ahead and transfer your data.
You can export your lists from FreshBooks in a CSV or IIF file, and import them to QuickBooks. This will be our workaround as there's no direct way to transfer your data. For your transactions, you can download them from your bank in a QBO format, and upload them to QuickBooks. Here's a reference article about importing data to QuickBooks Desktop: Import/Export Overview.
Alternatively, you can search for third-party apps to transfer your data.
Please let us know if you need anything else.
Hi Jess,
Thank you for the reply.
For the transactions, the qbo file will upload onto Quickbooks Desktop? How do you save/convert the bank file to a importable qbo file?
Hi, @VCOfficeManager.
I appreciate your response on this. Let me chime in and help share some information about importing bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop.
For the bank transactions, you don't need to convert the file to importable QBO file. Your bank will be the one to provide you with .qbo files. Once the files are downloaded and saved on your computer, you can import the transactions so they become available in your bank feeds. Please refer to this link for more information: Import web connect (.qbo) files.
If you need assistance in going through the steps, you can always contact our helpful and friendly support. They have extra tools that can pull up your account securely and can run screen sharing to help you with the import process.
