Is anybody having issues with the new invoice format?

Every time I go to send an invoice I get a message telling me someone else was working on this invoice and my changes will not be saved.  Since I'm the only one doing invoices I don't see how that's possible.

When we experience unforeseen situations when using QuickBooks, it's advised to perform basic troubleshooting steps to identify if this is a browser-related issue.

 

Your browser's cache saves files on your computer to allow the website to download faster on your next visit. However, it can also get outdated over time, leading to problems in accessing websites. To get started, we have to open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account on an incognito window. Doing so will prevent the browser history from being saved.

 

Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:
 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with a clean slate.

Is anybody having issues with the new invoice format?

When printing an invoice in the new format (very poor design) the invoice is almost illegible. I can print previous invoices (old format) and they are perfectly readable. As a simple start user I only need the basics which includes printing invoices for customers that don’t want them emailed. Why can’t I opt out and revert to the old format I used for years?

Reverting to the old invoice format in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently unavailable, @Itek8301. Let me provide some information about the new invoice format.

 

QuickBooks update of the new invoice format aims to enhance the back-end technology and improve the customer's experience by introducing additional features and faster development. The new version provides upgraded functionality and customization options for users, including the capability to incorporate custom fields and a more user-friendly design for adding and editing line items.

 

Meanwhile, you can still utilize the old template or customize your invoice instead of using the modern one.
