I'm here to share information about the multi-currency feature.
The multi-currency feature is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed(QBSE). You can create an invoice then manually convert the amount before recording them. However, if you want to take advantage of this feature, I'd suggest switching your subscription to QuickBooks Online since this is available in plus and advanced.
Here's how:
Check this guide for more details: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to review this resource for more insight: About Multicurrency.
Let us know if you have further questions about currency. I'm always here to back you up.
You may consider switching to QBO Essentials or higher to enable the multi currency feature.

As another option, explore these apps to deal with multi currency transactions if you prefer still using QBSE.
