Let me share some insights on how QuickBooks Self-Employed works. This version is designed for freelancers, independent contractors, and home-based entrepreneurs to keep track of income and expenses, as well as calculate and pay estimated quarterly taxes.
For now, the ability to record charitable cash donations is unavailable. This feature is available in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to try QuickBooks 30-days free trial version wherein you can create an account for charitable donations. Please check out this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/
