Is there a way to change 'Custom form style' when the form is unable to be edited? I am only able to see 'Preview PDF'.

Other Templates are able to be edited. However, 3 templates can only be seen in PDF file.

I'm here to help you successfully edit your custom form templates, sjang.

Before we begin, could you please let me know which templates you're unable to edit? It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide a screenshot so I can offer an accurate and prompt solution.

In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to see if this behavior you're experiencing has something to do with your browser.

Open your QuickBooks using an incognito window or private browser. Please use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

If it works, return to your default browser and clear the cached files. If not, switch to another supported browser as an alternative.

I've also included the article that can guide you on customizing the template based on your preferences: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Please see the attached photo for support.

I have marked it in red square.

How can I change the template?
