Is there a way to edit invoice template and use that template when creating invoice either to mail or email? It seems it saves but invoice is still coming up the old way

Yes, you can easily create, edit and use the templates when creating the invoices. You can use these links for more details: 

After customizing the invoice template, you can set it as default. Here's how:

  1. In the Custom form styles page, look for the invoice template.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to Edit and select Make default.

You can also change the template on the existing invoice manually. Here's how:

  1. Open the affected invoice.
  2. At the bottom menu if the Invoice page, click Customize.
  3. Select the invoice template you want to use.
  4. Click Save and close.
