Is there any way to create a budget based on tags, or custom groups of categories?

Creating a budget based on tags or custom groups isn't possible in QuickBooks Online (QBO), CMH1983.

There are three options available to create a budget; (location, class, and customers). Please refer to the screenshot below.

Since this option isn't available, I recommend using a third-party application to locate a supported third-party app that can assist in creating a budget based on tags or custom groups at this link: Apps Center.

You can also search for third-party apps within QBO. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Select the Apps tab on the left navigation bar.
3. Click Find apps, then search for the app you wish to connect to in the magnifying glass icon.
