Is there no way in QuickBooks Online to search simply by date? I can see I can search by last modified date but I'd rather just see all checks with a certain date on them

Welcome, @hollycwatkins.

It's a pleasure to see you here in the Community. I'm here to share some information about searching transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can search transactions in your QBO by entering the date, amount, or transaction number through the Magnifying Glass on the toolbar located on the upper right. However, if the transactions (checks) that you're looking for does not appear on the results list, you can use the Advanced Search. Here's how:

1. Click the Magnifying Glass, then select Advanced Search.
2. Adjust the filters to find the type of data you want, then Search.
3. You can also filter the date by clicking the Date Filter drop-down.
4. Choose a custom date that you'd like on the From and To, then Apply.

Once done, you'll be able to see all the checks for that specific date. For your reference, you may check out this article for further guidance: How to search for transactions.

That should do it! Please let me know how it goes or if you're referring to something else by leaving a comment below. I'd be glad to answer should you have any follow-up questions. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day.
