THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST.
I have been having issues with Bill Pay for 2 days, I was told yesterday 2/9/23 after 45 minutes of troubleshooting that there is a known issue with Bill Pay.
As of today there is an Investigation:
INV-80704
Bill Pay will not load for me and then times out and kicks me out of QuickBooks.
I am sure it is impacting Melio payments going through as well.
Just experienced yet another payment never sent or received by our vendor. Spent an hour on chat this morning to get 75 dollars refunded. The Melio could not furnish any factual evidence of a printed check, or mailing; only empty meaningless words by some chat room bot that they did send it.... Melio is and continues to be negligent, and using our money without paying vendors, all without any liability (thus far anyway) or penalty. Class action suit anyone?
Thanks for taking the time to update the other users of this investigation, @alexryan7.

QuickBooks Users BEWARE: I have been using Melio for about 2 years now and over this timeframe have had several issues (reported on this forum) but have been able to work around and have continued with Melio until this morning. We had 91 vendor deposits totaling approximately $120,000 that we scheduled on February 9th and was to be delivered today, February 15th--- NONE of these processed. It is as if Melio just stopped processing payments all together!
1. When we first started with Melio, we had a dedicated account manager that we could call anytime, then they moved to scheduling meetings with the account manager, and now the only option is file a Zen Desk trouble ticket # or get on Melio-s chat.
2. There is NO sense of URGENCY to resolve issues.
This is the FINAL STRAW with Melio and we will now be using a REPUTABLE bank to process our ACH Direct Deposits.
This happened to me too. It was due to having double authentication enabled. I had to sit though several chats to learn this. Once I disabled it, I was able to go into billpay.
I hope this helps =D
I seriously think a Prince in Nicaragua has hacked their system and is having funds deposited in his personal account overseas. Support from Melio about mis-directed payment is a joke. I think they have more than a few "bugs" in how they control the funds which they take from your account and are never received by the vendor. They actually switched from sending paper checks to one of my vendors to ACH deposits to an account neither I or the vendor supplied or recognize. They refuse to provide the destination bank to me, and say there is "nothing they can do" if the receiving bank does not cooperate.
Good luck with the endless nonsense you will have to endure in "chat" and e mail correspondence with their "support" attempting to get your funds back.
Melio is the biggest dog and pony show I have experienced in over 40 years of bill paying.
Good comment! Quickbooks association with Melio is a disaster in my opinion and can't be helping their image. My experience with Melio has included blatant mis-direction of my funds, and little luck of satisfactory recovery of said funds.
Biggest dog and pony show I have experienced in over 40 years of paying bills.
The Melio support team is worse than useless. Someone at quickbooks seriously needs to get them to have adequate control and accountability for the funds they withdraw from our accounts.
You should see how they destroyed the perfectly good bill pay system that used to exist in Quicken. I seriously can't justify using either of the systems in quickbooks or quicken. Unbelievable that something so unreliable and poorly thought out can actually be released for use. Way too much grief for what it's worth.
Intuit and Quickbooks should be embarrassed and ashamed to be partnered with Melio. Melio's ability to deliver payments as expected is non existent, and Melio's ability to resolve the messes they create is also non existent. Want to know what I really think?
Good morning,
Wanted to provide an update on my issue with Melio--- As of this morning (7 DAYS) I have NO RESPONSE from Melio as to what the issue is. It has been a crazy 7 days cancelling all the Melio scheduled payments, issuing cashiers checks, wires etc to get our vendors paid on time.
Please, for your own business protection, DO NOT use Melio!!!
Think long and hard about switching to bill pay through quickbooks. The convenience would be tremendous, but the hassle of having vendors call to track down payments and then waiting for Melio to "research" which only truly results in them providing a placating answer is more frustrating than any convenience I have experienced. As of today, after experiencing some of the same issues the original poster experienced, and getting the same version of a canned answer by Melio (who doesn't even have a working phone number for those who suggested it), we will revert back to paying through our bank. We pay all our bills on time, it's incredibly frustrating to have vendors question our integrity when Melio has just been sitting on the money it took from our account (to pay vendors who were never paid). Honestly, this is TERRIBLE and I'm floored that quickbooks has allowed it to continue.
I agree wholeheartedly, think long and hard about using Melio, and then DON"T DO IT. It takes forever to actually communicate with their chat support what the actual issue is, and then you have to rely on them to forward the correct information to someone who can actually do something about it. And you can grow old waiting for endless e mails back and forth to actually communicate the real issue.
The nonsense I have endured correcting the information and replies I have received is laughable.
I place Melios security over disbursement of your funds on par with a procelain piggy bank. I'll bet they are making bank on all your funds sitting in a sweep account until they actually get to your vendor, if the ever do.
Hello,
Below is an udpate that we received from Melio today 3/22/2023 regarding our 021523 Payroll not processing: This certainly has to sway Quickbooks users from not utilizing Melio services.
NOTE: The backcharge they are referring to was funds taken out of our old bank account from an issue that was resolved 4 months prior that was determined to be an error on Melio's end.
We would like to sincerely apologize for your recent experience with us. There were multiple miscommunications on our part which resulted in disturbances in {removed} account.
The account was initially suspended due to a chargeback for a previously refunded Payment ID {removed} Per our policy, the account and all further payments are suspended until the dispute has a resolution.
We have fully reinstated {removed} account. Please note that it was never our intention to disregard your communications with us. It appears that due to a technical error, your messages were not received by the relevant department.
We have taken all the necessary actions to correct this and there should be no further inconveniences caused moving forward.
Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
Best Regards,

Issues with Melio?
We transmitted over 70 checks through Melio powerd by Plaid………. We have close to 50 checks outstanding which means Melio is holding our money for 5 months. Melio error…..All checks sent without account numbers, and published wrong company name ………The money was immediately withdrawn from our three different commercial accounts. Some checks got cashed by clever vendors who cross-referenced our mail back address but most checks did not yet cashed.
After a long time trying to work through problems with a chatbot, I decided to try my luck via email after some time working with AI ( artificial intelligence) I got to a real person I think. Melio seems to be reluctant in sending me some sort of statement or list of items that have come in. They keep telling me to log onto the website but as a QuickBooks user not possible.
My question is……. As a QuickBooks user how do I get some sort of statement of outstanding checks from Melio?
Melio seems to be reluctant in sending me some sort of statement or list of items that have come in.
There is no web interface for QuickBooks users that I am aware of please advise
I can understand how that would be challenging, @Truckgut. Know that we are here to support you on how you can trace your monetary issues.
We encourage you to call Melio's phone representatives. I'll route you to the link that provides their number and email.
There you have it, @Truckgut. You can still post again in the Community, especially on reconciliation.
Thanks for reply but already tried this assume AI response.
Any way of getting statement?
Sure I am in
Just reading this and it made me realize I've been dealing with these melio issues for a year now and its not worth it. I am so sorry that happend to you, really an inexcusible issue. The only challenge is unraveling the bill pay to switch back to what? Go back to old school printed checks (not time efficient) or use individual banking bill-pay? What did you guys switch too? I am wondering what other users who have hit the end of their rope with Melio are/have switched too? This involves changing process (again!) for multiple clients so I've been hesitant to make a change despite all the issue I've had with Melio, but so many of these issues are outrageous. Like many, I continue to be perplexed why Intuit is contining this relationship with a clearly very flawed program. Sigh...
The Melio support team will only be more responsive to resolve our issues if we use a separate Melio account.

Melio support is non existent. No one to talk to but they are trusted with thousands of dollars? We are out $40,000 worth of payments through Melo and so far no one is helping. Quickbooks basically turning their back on a customer. Such a disappointing experience and really hurting my business. Is there nothing that can be done? This amount of money lost is crippling and no one in Quickbooks seems to care. Why is Melio “powering” quickbooks yet quickbooks acts as it can’t even be associated with Melio? Again, we are down $40,000 and no help from quickbooks nor melio.
Is it your old bill payment?
