Modifying the look of my invoice

I am currently using the QuickBooks online version for Non-Profit. I want to go in and change the look of my invoice. However, when I go to Settings, I do not have Custom Form Styles in my list. How do I get this feature back?

Modifying the look of my invoice

Being able to customize your sales forms is my top priority, @Dawn_at_Throw_Pink

If you currently subscribe to QuickBooks Online (QBO) Simple Start or Essentials version, the Custom Form Styles on the settings are unavailable. This feature is only available on QBO Plus and Advanced versions.

You may consider upgrading your QBO version to utilize this feature. You can visit this page for more information and see the other feature available on different versions: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.

Then, to learn more about customizing your forms, visit this great resource: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. It also contains information on how to customize depending on whether you have the new or old version of estimates and invoices.

For your future tasks, I'm adding you some links that you may find helpful:

If there's anything else that I can do for you while working with QuickBooks, don't hesitate to reach back out. I'll be more than happy to answer your queries. Take care, and have a great day.

Modifying the look of my invoice

I am signed up for Quickbooks Plus so I don’t understand why I can’t modify my invoices.

Modifying the look of my invoice

Hey there again, @Dawn_at_Throw_Pink

I appreciate you reaching back out and letting us know the version of QuickBooks Online that you're currently using to modify/customize your invoices.

Since you're unable to see the Custom Form Styles option in your settings, you could have the new version of estimates and invoices. The new version allows you to customize the invoice as you're creating it. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab on the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Choose Invoices
  3. Select Create invoice or Create estimate to create a new form. Or to edit an existing form, select an invoice or estimate from the list and select Edit.
  4. To update your company info, pick Edit Company. Make changes as needed, and then hit Save.
  5. To edit your company logo, select the logo on the form. Then choose an image from your computer, and tap Open to update the logo.
  6. To add or remove fields, change the color scheme, or turn on payments on invoices, click Manage ⚙.
  7. Select a section like Invoice settings, Payment settings, or Deposits.
  8. Tap the dropdown ▼ for each section to see customization options.
  9. Choose what info displays on your form by turning the switches on or off. Note: As you make changes, a preview displays on the form.
  10. When you're finished customizing, click Save.

If you don't have this option, I recommend clearing your browser's history or trying another browser. In the end, if this works for you but like the old version better, you can switch back. Here's how:

Note: Before doing these steps, review this guide for more details on certain features you will and won't have when switching back: See what's new with estimates and invoices

  1. Tap + New button.
  2. Select Invoice or Estimate.
  3. At the top right of the form, pick Old layout.

It's that easy!

This should do the trick. I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. Have a wonderful Thursday!
