Multiple budgets for same year

Hi all,

 

Is it possible to create a 2nd budget for the same year and then be able to switch between them.  I started to create a new one but didn't want to override the first one.  This is a great community and I hope you all are weathering this troublesome time.

We're unable to create multiple budgets for the same year, Border Collie Boy Part 2.

 

If you've created one already, you can only edit the existing budget.

Unless you add another criteria like Customer:Job or Class, you can create another budget for the same year. Here's how:

  1. Click Company.
  2. Go to Planning & Budgeting.
  3. Select Set Up Budgets.
  4. Click Create New Budget.
  5. Select the year and budget type, then click Next.
  6. Select a criteria, then click Next.SC1.PNG
  7. Click Create budget from scratch, then Finish.

Multiple budgets for same year

We really need to be able to set multiple budgets for the same year, we would be fine to have one as "Primary" that all reports would default to. But we want to play with some rebudgetting and don't want to screw up the current budget in the process.

I can certainly understand how an ability to create multiple budgets for a specific year could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

 

You can also submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....
  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from your available drop-down menus.
  3. Enter any suggestions/feedback in the Here is my suggestion: field.
  4. If you'd like, include your name/email in the My name is: (optional) and My e-mail address is: (optional) fields.
  5. Select Send Feedback.
