You obviously have the PLus version whose retail monthly price is $70. If you originally purchased at a discounted rate it was openly disclosed that the discount was not forever. If you were paying a slightly lower retail price (maybe $60) you would have received several notices regarding price increases and would have had time to prepare.
Don't get me wrong. I think spending $840/year just for he privileges of free multi-user and work from any device where you have internet are worth something, but with the usage limits imposed on Simple Start, Enhanced, and Plus when Advanced was rolled out they should have dropped prices across the board as they took usability away.
If you do not need multi-user or work from your phone, consider Desktop Pro, street price around $200 total and that comes with 3 full years of support and updates. You will spend more than that in th next quarter alone
