I’m glad to see you here in the Community. It’s my priority to get this credit card account connected to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Ideally if the bank issues a new account with a different card number, it must be connected separately in QuickBooks. To get started, add it first into the Chart of Accounts.
Here’s how:
1. Choose Accounting on the left panel.
2. Click on the New button.
3. Select Credit Card under Account Type.
4. Fill in necessary information.
5. Once done, click on Save and Close.
I've attached screenshots for your reference.
Now, link the account to QBO to start downloading transactions. To connect, follow the steps below:
1. Choose Banking on the left panel.
2. Click on the Add account button.
3. Select your financial institution from the list or enter the name in the search field.
4. Enter your bank login credentials and click on Continue.
5. Complete the security verification if prompted, and select Securely connect.
6. Then select the bank emblem you're trying to connect and choose Credit Card account as the account type.
7. Hit on Connect.
If you only want to update the account number and keep the transactions, you’ll need to disconnect the old credit card. Once done, connect the new card to continue using the online banking feature.
By following the steps given above, you’ll be able to connect the new credit card account to QuickBooks Online.

Since your account is showing a deactivated error, I recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team. We have agents that have tools that can take a look at your account and verify the error further.
