My Profit and Loss Statement is incorrect

QB version: QuickBooks Premier Retail Edition 2018
My report for fiscal year Profit and Loss excludes account code(s). As an example we use 2100 as a Merchant code for cash sales from our debit/ credit card machine. When I run the canned report (Reports > Company & Financial > Profit and Loss > and select the time frame 1/1 to 12/31/2019) it omits my Income for this category.
Q - How can I run or customize to include ALL my codes or accounts and collapse under the appropriate categories?
Q2 – And would like to run a second report for error purpose to include all zero/ null values encase I created an account code in error as well?

Thanks,

My Profit and Loss Statement is incorrect

Hello, @FatThumbs

It's possible that the transactions were not recorded on the specific date that you've set in the reports. Let's first view your Transactions Details by Account report. This way will allow you to view the transactions recorded in QuickBooks per account.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Choose the Reports Center.
  3. Select the Accountant & Taxes menu.
  4. Locate the Transaction Detail by Account.
  5. Click the green arrow to Run report.
  6. Set the date range of the transactions.
  7. Click the Refresh button.

Once you verified where the transactions recorded, you can view the Profit and Loss report again. Just a heads-up, you'll only see transactions recorded in your income and expense account. Debit card and Credit card transactions will not be included in the P&L report. You can run your Balance Sheet report to view the list of transactions listed under your debit card and credit card account.
