My profit and loss statement says all zeros

I have the steps you can perform to fix the zero amounts in your Profit and Loss (P&L) report, @latisha1

Here are the possible reasons the P&L report displays zero amounts:

  • The accounting method is not appropriate.
  • Incorrect date range.
  • The Divide by 1000 option in the Number format section is turned on.
  • The All buttons in the Show rows and Show columns sections are checked.

To help resolve this, let's make sure the Report period and Accounting method used in the report are correct. Then, turn off the Divide by 1000 feature. Also, select Active or Non-zero in the Show non-zero or active only drop-down. This way, you'll be able to view the accurate figures in the report. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to Reports from the left menu.
  2. Select the Profit and Loss report.
  3. Click Customize
  4. Set the correct Report period
  5. Choose the appropriate Accounting method
  6. Uncheck the Divide by 1000 box under Number format
  7. Go to Rows/Columns
  8. Select the Show non-zero or active only drop-down.
  9. Choose Active or Non-zero in the Show rows and Show columns sections.
  10. Click Run report.

Once done, you can memorize the report to save its current customization settings. Doing so will help you quickly access it in the future. For more details, visit this article: Memorizing Reports. This link also provides you steps on how to run, export to excel, edit, delete a memorized report, and set its email schedule.

I'm here anytime you have other concerns. Take care always, @latisha1
