Join nowHi,
I have QB Online, and I have noticed when I am in my browser on my iPad I can “send a link” to the invoice rather than sending an email (most of my clients don’t want more emails, they want texts). However when I am trying to use the QB mobile app, there is no option to “send a link.” Only email. I’ve attached a screenshot showing my quandary on my QB mobile app.
Am I missing something? It seems like an oversight on QB’s part to not allow for sending links on QB mobile.
Additionally, if QB can store my client’s email in their profile and email an invoice, why can’t QB text the invoice to the mobile number stored in my client’s profile? I read a reply in another thread where the QB employee suggested an outside source, but that seems inefficient and costly to pay and link another third party to do the work. Instead of QB texting the client directly, I have to go to Safari, copy the link myself, go back to messages and paste the link.
Hello there, @usercounselor.
Currently, we're unable to share an invoice via text message in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I know how important it is to be able to share an invoice via text for a faster and easier transaction with customers who prefer this system.
While we continue to develop new features in QuickBooks that can help you save time, I'd recommend you regularly check our QuickBooks Blog for the latest feature available in QBO.
I've also added this article about the different file types you can attach to any transactions in QBO: Email and customize sales form.
Keep me posted if you have other questions. I'm just around to help. Take care!
Thank you for your reply.
