Hello, tommy25.
I understand that change can be challenging, and I want you to know that I hear your concerns about the new invoice experience. Please allow me to provide more details about the changes and how they can benefit you.
We've made these updates to the invoice layout to make them simpler and more user-friendly, which opens up opportunities for more features, faster development, and an overall easier experience for you in the long run.

You failed.
@tommy25 RE: Changing just to change and making it a worse product is really stupid. Really slowed me down this week releasing this b*******
You have correctly ascertained the reality of the situation.
Something a room full of recently graduated, arrogant MBAs who don't know how business works cannot understand.
QB Online invoices were already lacking in functionality and Intuit's response was to dumb them down even more, to "make them simpler to use". Fail.
A very wise software architect one said to me, regarding software design, "You can't make it simpler than it is", meaning you can't make the software simpler than the problem-space you're solving for, or it becomes unusable.
@tommy25 please let us know what other software you consider moving to. Our business feels the exact same way. The new invoicing is so convoluted and time consuming that Quickbooks is forcing us to migrate elsewhere.
Freshbooks is a cheap option for straight invoicing. Wave also has features that we really like so far. Please share what you think about other software as well.

FB is one of the three apps we always recommend if you need to switch from QB. But Wave is not one of them. When you're ready to make the switch, you can convert your data to QB Desktop file and you can use the trial version to access your historical data for good. Then you'll start from scratch on a new app to lower conversion costs. If you don't mind spending more money, you can purchase a third-party conversion service later.
YES THIS SUCKS-somebody should be fired-how you supposed to use send later! You cant its gone WTF, i gotta FIND ANOTHER SOFTWARE TO USE, QB online sucks! Print later gone too!
Takes m 2-3 times longer to enter an invoice. When you receive payment it takes you back to the dashboard and I have to go back to the customer click the invoice to add tracking and e-mail their receipt. I cannot copy and paste Sku # from invoice for customs forms. This is the stupidest update every. Time to start looking into something different. Already hat QBO since it doesn't have sales orders and BOM. I tried some apps, but didn't like them so I deal with it, but about ready to look into something else.

Which app did you explore? Any inventory management app with the assembly feature or manufacturing app?
I forget what it was, but didn't like it. It didn't seem to sync well and the invoices were stupidly awkward to create. I do ebay and they said it wouldn't sync to ebay so I bailed on it. QB needs to get their crap together and not try to fix something that isn't broke.
