Join nowHello Plschlueter,
Thank you for reaching out to the Quickbooks Community. Although the Quickbooks Pro version you can customize the Chart of Accounts, that feature hasn't been introduced to Quickbooks Online as yet. Our engineers are aware and are continually making updates to the program. For now, by double-clicking the header for Name and Type, the items can be arranged alphabetically. You also mention that you are new to Quickbooks online; this link is a handy guide that shows tutorials on how to navigate in the program. Feel free to reply if you have any other concerns and enjoy the rest of your day.
Good afternoon, @plschueter.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
At this time, QuickBooks Online doesn't offer a feature to move Chart of Accounts in a different order. I'm going to submit feedback to our Product Development Team for them to review and consider making this an option soon.
For now, you can follow our Firm of the Future website to receive future product updates.
