old assets on my balance sheet

I'm currently using Quickbooks Advanced Online for my restaurants. We have the assets of several old restaurants that have since closed down still on our balance sheet, and my CPA has no idea how to remove them. The assets have been written down to zero, but they are cluttering up my balance sheet. I've tried to make them inactive so they won't show up on my balance sheet, but I can't seem to make them go away.  Is there any way to get rid of them?

old assets on my balance sheet

Hi there, turtlemtn1999.

I'll share details and help you about removing data from the balance sheet reports.

You can hide the accounts with zero balance or active accounts on your balance sheet. Here's how:

  1. On the Balance Sheet report screen, click the Show non-zero or active only drop-down.
  2. Select Non-zero for rows and columns.
  3. Hit Run report.

  4. All the accounts with zero balances will be hidden. And if you select Active, all active accounts will be hidden.

I've added screenshots for your visual reference.Capture.PNG

If you have any further concerns about your reports, don't hesitate to post them here. Have a great day!

old assets on my balance sheet

None of the suggestions were helpful in removing the old assets from my balance sheet, but I was able to figure out how to make the categories in question inactive so they wouldn't show up on my balance sheet report.
